Tape for clothes and other things made of cloth has an adhesive in it that helps it stick to them. While sticking the tape to fabric is as simple as sticking it to the item, removing it is a more complicated process. Tape that sticks and stays in place is what this kind of tape is made for. To get it off of your clothes or other fabric, you will need to take some steps.
Step 1
Dampen a cotton cloth with water and then squeeze it to get rid of the water.
Step 2
An ironing board or another surface that can handle heat can be used to place the fabric item on. Turn on the iron and set it to warm.
Step 3
A damp cloth should be placed on top of the fabric tape that you want to remove. For at least 10 seconds, put the warm iron on top of the damp cloth and hold it there.
Step 4
Iron and damp cloth are out of the way now. Pull the fabric tape away from the fabric. To clean a garment or other item, follow the instructions on its care label.
